Government Arts and Science College

​Government Arts and Science College, Kovilpatti, established in 2013 in Krishna Nagar, Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu, is a co-educational institution affiliated with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. The college was founded to uplift the educational standards of the region, particularly benefiting first-generation learners and underprivileged communities. Initially offering five undergraduate courses, it has expanded to provide nine UG programs—including B.A. in Tamil, English, History, and Economics; B.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and Geology; and B.Com.—and five PG programs: M.A. in Tamil and English, M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science, and M.Com. The institution boasts a well-equipped library, modern laboratories, and facilities for sports and extracurricular activities. With a dedicated faculty and a student body of over 1,300, the college emphasizes holistic development and academic excellence.
