Muthurangam Government Arts

Muthurangam Government Arts College (MGAC), established in 1965 in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, is an autonomous, co-educational institution affiliated with Thiruvalluvar University. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the college holds a ‘B’ grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) . MGAC offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across arts, science, commerce, and management disciplines, including BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MPhil, and PhD courses . The college is situated on a 32-acre campus equipped with modern facilities such as well-stocked libraries, advanced laboratories, auditoriums, sports complexes, and hostels, fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence and holistic development. Admissions are primarily merit-based, with some programs requiring entrance examinations. Under the leadership of Principal Dr. S.
