Sri Sarada College for Women, Salem
Sri Sarada College for Women, located in Salem, Tamil Nadu, was established in 1961 under the guidance of Srimat Swami Chidbhavananda and the management of Sri Ramakrishna Tapovanam, Tirupparaithurai. Initially affiliated with the University of Madras, the college became part of Periyar University in 1998. As of 2024, the college has been ranked in the 101-150 band by NIRF and has received a 4-star rating from the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The institution offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across arts, science, and commerce disciplines. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been reaccredited with a ‘B++’ grade by NAAC.
