Voorhees College, established in 1898, is the oldest college in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. Founded by the American Arcot Mission (AAM) and named after philanthropists Ralph and Elizabeth Rodman Voorhees, the college was originally known as Arcot Mission College. It was later renamed to honor its benefactors. Managed by the Church of South India, Diocese of Vellore, the college offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across disciplines such as Arts, Science, and Commerce. Affiliated with Thiruvalluvar University, it is recognized for its commitment to providing quality education rooted in Christian values. The college’s motto, “Nisi Dominus Frustra” (In vain without God), reflects its foundational principles.
